During my brief visit to Copenhagen in 1956, Prof. Rosenkrantz of the University Institute of Mineralogy and Geology in Copenhagen showed me a small but very interesting collection of Cretaceous nonmarine mollusks from West Greenland. My plan for that trip to Europe was to confine myself to some work in the peri-Alpine areas. I was not able to prolong my stay in Denmark, as I had wished, to examine the contents of this collection. Subsequent to my return to this country, Professor Alfred Rosenkrantz was kind enough to send me the collection for an adequate study, the findings of which have now resulted in the present paper.
