Ceratopea unguis is described from the Nunatami Formation of Washington Land, western North Greenland, confirming a late Canadian (Iate Early Ordovician) age. A correlation is thus established between the Nunatami Formation and the Wandel Valley Formation of Peary Land, eastern North Greenland, which also yields C. unguis.
